BRAC is Hiring Deputy Manager, Procurement (Contractual) 2023 in Dhaka
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Purchasing goods and service according to BPGIP ensuring compliance issues as well as maintaining on time delivery to BRAC Enterprises and other affiliated subsidiaries.
- Performing 100% procurement issues in compliance with BPGIP.
- Making product specification if needed.
- Coordinating the meetings with internal stakeholders and the vendors (where needed).
- Crafting procurement annual planning.
- Processing the bills.
- Ensuring issuance of 85% RFQ within 15 days for OTM, 7 days for LTM and QM.
- Ensuring 80% payment against purchase orders within 11 days after receiving the bills & Challans.
- Ensuring receiving of goods in 90% cases as per deadline and specification given by the Enterprises/ Programs.
- Maintaining a close relation with concerns programs, enterprises, accounts department and other internal & external stakeholders in order to ensuring smooth operation at lowest possible cost.
- Conducting regular sourcing for better supply market exploration and reducing the inventory level by ensuring the lead time properly.
- Ensuring payment of Local /foreign suppliers (in applicable cases) by procurement department.
- Taking prompt actions for emergency purchase in emergency case and big purchase for special occasion.
- Preserving & presenting of 100% files for domestic and donors audit trial requirements.
- Scrutinizing, approving and recommending the purchase documents of team members as per the financial authority of HRPP/ BPGIP.
- Arranging yearly internal stakeholders and external stakeholders meeting (Partners’ Forum) to minimize the procurement related issues. Also arrange one yearly meeting with several departments/enterprise for both head office and field level staff.
- Perform Cluster Procurement Manager (CPM) responsibilities for Programs and Enterprises.
- Assist procurement department to meet up the transformation of BRAC to social enterprise model from predominant business model.
- Sourcing of new potential vendors.
SAFEGUARDING RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme’s goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
- Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action
- Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Smooth communication, coordination with all internal and external stake holders in terms of meeting compliances of BPGIP.
- Selection of accredited Vendors, price negotiation, smoothing delivery functions, vendor & contract management and market sourcing.
- Fluency in English.
- Knowledge on Supply chain Management.
- Computer Software Application: Microsoft Office (MS Word, MS Power Point, MS Excel)
- Able to work independently all sorts of local procurement for all of BRAC Programs.
- Team work.
