SPEAK for Change- National Public Speaking Festival 2020.

With an aim to enlighten the youth from school, college & Universities about SDG 05, Evolution 360 in collaboration with UNMGCY (United Nations Major Group for Youth & Children) and Manusher Jonno Foundation, have decided to launch a National Public Speaking Festival, where the participants will also be able to hone their presentation and public speaking skills. Keeping in mind the occasion of International Women’s Day 2020, Evolution 360 is thus organizing the first-ever National Public Speaking Festival in Bangladesh under the theme- “Creating a gender-equal world- accelerating the cherished dream of Father of the Nation”.

OBJECTIVE OF THE EVENT: The topics for different groups will be based on SDG 5 (Gender Equality) which will be provided to the participants 5 days prior to the conference. It will definitely motivate and push the youth to research and enlighten themselves on crucial topics like GBV, Feminism, Consent, etc. This Public Speaking contest (on the occasion of International Women’s Day) will help the youth to ‘SPEAK’ for bringing positive “CHANGE” in the whole society along with enhancing their public speaking skills as a bonus.

The daylong event will consist of a number of segments; such as:
CONTENT

• Mentoring session by International Speakers on Presentation skills, Public Speaking and Professional English
• Interactive sessions with UN Employee from UNDP
• Public Speaking contest on predetermined topics in 3 groups
• Photo Exhibition promoting female photographers
• Mentoring session by Business Professionals, on how to contribute to social entrepreneurship regarding SDG 05
• Round 2: Selected participants from Round 1 will perform in Extempore Speech, Time limit- 2.5 minutes

Public Speaking Contest Details
• Round 1: Participants will speak in the given topic; Time limit- 2.5 minutes
• Final Round: Topic will be given on spot; Time limit – 2 minutes
Topics will be focused on different aspects of SDG 05 and the theme of International women’s Day 2019

Class 8- 10

• Group 3- Seniors

SPECIAL AWARD SEGMENT
• 4 “Women of Inspiration” from different professions will be awarded for their achievements in unconventional professions.
PHOTO EXHIBITION FOR ALL- Daylong
Under the theme of Gender Equality & Women Empowerment, contestants will submit pictures for exhibition, and the winner will be declared by the honourable judge Prito Reza, Founder & CEO of Wedding Diaries.
STALLS for Women Entrepreneurs
Throughout the day, there will be stalls outside the auditorium premise, where small female entrepreneurs will get the opportunity to sell their products.
