Run-Bangla International presents Bangladesh 50th-Independence Day Run 2021
Run Bangla was formed with an intention to contribute to the enthusiasm of every vibrant running community of Bangladesh and to create AIMS Member international standard running events. Our 1st event in conjunction with Cadet College Club Ltd (CCCL-RBI 10K) which took place on March 13, 2020.
They locked the calendar to organize more races in last year but their plan had to be deferred due to COVID situation.
They have decided to stage their 2nd annual RunBangla 10K race as a virtual event similar to the Boston Marathon and other world events . This race will be focused on celebrating the 50th Anniversary of Bangladesh Independence.
The race takes place on March 26th- 28th 2021. They plan to have multiple categories of events including (10K, 5K and 1K races). This will include a special division for wheelchair participants in coordination with the CRP Mirpur, Dhaka and also some participants from visually challenged people residing at Sylhet and other regions. They have named it as “warrior category”. This will be a first for Bangladesh.
Some features of this event will include:
- An AIMS event
- Celebration of the 50th Anniversary of Bangladesh Independence.
- Multiple race categories (10K, 5K, 1K)
- Runners (Men, Women, professional, wheelchair, amateur, young, old, and of course children)

- 10K – Open – 500 slots- Registration fee 800 BDT (cut off time 1 hour 40 mins)
- 5K – Open- 300 slots- registration fee 800 BDT (cut off time 1 hour)
- 5K – Veterans/Seniors citizens/Non-regular runners- 200 slots – registration fee 800 (cut off time 2 hours)
- 1K – Veterans/Seniors citizens/Non-regular runners- 200 slots – registration fee- 200 slots- registration fee 700 BDT (cut off time 1 hour)
- 1K – Children- 200 slots- registration fee 400 BDT (cut off time 1 hour)
- 0.5 K – Wheelchair participants, visually challenged participants (warrior category)- 100 slots- registration fee 100 BDT (no cut off time limit)
