Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) and SEEDS Asia have launched a Photography Competition and Exhibition
for professionals, students and amateur Bangladeshi photo artists on the theme of Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR). The aim of the event is to create public awareness through the capture of moments of innovative risk preparedness practices in the city to face local urban disasters. Photographs tell stories and this exhibition is a venue to share and learn from each other’s unique perspectives of DRR that include preparing for earthquake, fire, waterlogging, etc.
The objective of this competition is to create a Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) movement through the language of photographs to empower Dhaka residents to build a resilient capital city and save lives.
