Call for Entrepreneurs for YY Goshti Incubator 2020 Spring Cohort is now open. They are on the lookout for social businesses who are changing their communities. They are on a mission to recognize and support 10 early-stage social business entrepreneurs who have identified a solution to a social problem.
YY Ventures is a social business company created in collaboration with ‘Yunus Centre’ to inspire innovation, support social business entrepreneurs and drive change. They envision a World of Three Zeros – Zero Poverty, Zero Unemployment, and Zero Net Carbon Emissions. YY Ventures offers an intense, rapid, and immersive education to accelerate the life cycle of innovative social businesses in Bangladesh and the Central African Republic that are solving pressing social issues of our times.
Legal status of business: The program has primarily been designed for the needs of social businesses; however, non-profits, for-profits, co-operatives, and community contribution businesses are all eligible as long as they serve the purpose and they incorporate a sustainable revenue model.
Stage of ventures: The program is geared towards those at an early stage of development, who have an idea they are willing to invest in. Ideally, applicants have completed some measure of feasibility assessment and can see themselves moving to launch in 4-6 months. Those who have already launched but need support to refine their business plan and scale up operations are also encouraged to apply.
