Organizer: Department of Environmental Science, Faculty of Science and Technology (FST), Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP).

Theme: Green Revolution, Best Solution!

Categories:

1. Photography exhibition:

Photographs can express many things which couldn’t easily be expressed by words. Pollution, biodiversity loss, natural resources conservation etc. will be focused on selected photographs. Details of this competition are given at the following link:

Venue: BUP concourse

2. Eco- Olympiad:

Students of different schools, colleges and universities are invited to participate in an Olympiad on different aspects of Environment. Each participant have to pay the 100 Taka registration fee
Topics will be given soon. This segment will be divided into two categories:
a. School and college students
b. University students.

3. Project model/idea showcase:

Any group from any school, college, university can participate in their project model. This segment will be divided into two categories:
a. School and college students
b. University students.

Terms and conditions of entry:

I. Each group should be consisting of 3 members
II. Project idea should be submitted in a pdf or word file.
III. The writing should be maximum of 150 words.
IV. Selected models will have to pay the 300 Taka registration fee for the stall preparation and banner.

The theme for the project model:

a. Waste Management:
i)Recycle
ii)Reuse
iii)Industrial,municipal and roadside waste management.

b. Technological Innovation:
i)Efficient use of energy
ii)Green energy
iii)Innovative technology for the green environment
iv)Innovative technology to improve water quality
v)Urban city planning and management
vi)Ideal flood management model
vii)Disaster prediction and management practice.

c. Conservation:
i)Natural resources conservation
ii)Wildlife conservation
iii)Organic farming
iv)Sustainable agriculture practice.

The selected team will have to pay 300 BDT as registration fee.

The deadline for submission of project idea is 20th March 2019.

4. Poster presentation:

Any student from any school, college, and university can participate in the poster presentation. An abstract should be submitted and selected participants have to print out the poster on the event day. The size of the poster should be 3 feet by 2 feet. Each group should be consisting of 3 members.

a. Environmental awareness
b. Climate change
c. Waste management
d. Green economy
e. Eco-tourism
f. Energy use
g. Natural disaster
h. Pollution
I. Water Treatment
j. Disasters Management( Bangladesh perspectives)
k.Environmental degradation due to Rohingya refugees in Bangladesh.

The deadline for abstract/idea submission of poster presentation is 20th March 2019.
