CARE Bangladesh is searching for Project Manager 2021 in Rangpur
The key role of the Program Manager (PM) will be to assist the Team Leader in project planning, field staff supervision, progress monitoring, management of Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) activities in the field, lead staff capacity building and assisting in formal reporting as per donor requirement. S/he will be responsible for ensuring that knowledge and learning activities are integrated within the project’s core approach. S/he will also lead the networking and liaison with local level stakeholders to create synergies.
Responsibilities:
- Assist Team Leader in formulating project plans and ensure effective implementation of these plans
- Acquire required knowledge on PRA tools, community mobilization triggering process, private sector engagement concept, low cost sanitation options, mass awareness campaigns, community led total sanitation process, structure of local government,
- Be on top of project budget and synchronize it in accordance with implementation plan and donor regulations
- Track progress of implementation on a regular basis and make adjustments if required
- Mobilize Local Level Support Structure (DPHE department, LGED department, District coordination committee, SMCs, Upazila NGO coordination committee, UPs, LEBs, other projects of CARE Bangladesh, local NGOs etc.) to be more responsive to the needs of the project
- Support in production of modules and guidelines for the capacity building of UP and citizens forums such as SMCs, Natural Leaders , EKATA group,
- Manage monitoring and evaluation activities at the field level
- Pay regular field visit with a focus on ensuring quality
- Build staff capacity on quality assurance and follow up targeted outcomes
- Document good practices and lessons learned
- Contribute to the preparation of the donor reporting
- Ensure quality monitoring data collection from the field
- Coordinate ‘Annual Participatory Impact Assessment’ process in the project area
- Ensure that knowledge and learning activities are integrated within the core approach of the project
- Assist in documentation of best practice of CLTS
- Practice and promote ‘Reflective learning’ process within the project staff
- Facilitate the capture of learning through learning sharing workshops
- Arrange Advocacy Workshops at district level
- Supervise the field staff that reports directly to the PM
- Staff recruitment (as and when required)
- Performance management
- On job coaching and counseling
- Staff Development
- Build strong relationship with Upazilla and district administration, especially with DPHE and LGED department to bring synergies and to ensure the project activities are in line.
- Arrange field visit and regular meeting with Local Government Department, journalists, other SMCs, Coordination committee for ODF.
- Work closely with UNICEF programs and other CARE programs and learn good practices from other organizations as well as reflect in the program.
- Attend personal capacity building events

Eligibilities
- 5 – 6 years’ experience with at least 3 years’ in Managerial role in relevant field.
- Masters in Social Science or other relevant disciplines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Bengali
- Should have good computer skill in MS Office
