IRC is looking for Research Manager – Education 2026 in Ukhiya

Job Responsibilities:

  • Study Design & Methodology: Co-led the design of ERICC research studies, establishing sampling strategies, survey tools, and longitudinal analytical frameworks to understand the drivers of learning and its influences on outcomes among Rohingya learners.
  • Data Analysis & Interpretation: Lead the statistical analysis of complex longitudinal datasets tracking cohorts over time using appropriate quantitative techniques. Translate data findings into tangible research outputs like policy briefs, reports, and academic manuscripts.
  • Data Management Oversight: Partner with database management personnel to design high-quality database structures, oversee data cleaning and validation, and ensure analytical workflows are fully documented and reproducible.
  • Research Implementation & Quality Assurance: Coordinate with field teams to establish field plans and data quality assurance mechanisms. Monitor fieldwork quality, offer constructive routine feedback, and support the piloting and refinement of survey tools.
  • Reporting, Dissemination & Advocacy: Lead the write-up of findings into actionable evidence. Present research outputs to internal and external stakeholders, donors, and education sector bodies to inform strategic programming and decision-making.

Eligibilities

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum 5-6 years of relevant work experience in quantitative or mixed methods research.
  • Experience working on large-scale, complex surveys and datasets
  • Proficiency in statistical analyses software (R, Stata, SPSS) for analysis
  • Experience with sampling methodologies and survey design.
  • Experience with longitudinal or panel data analyses is desirable
  • A strong understanding of research methods and prior training/experience in quantitative or mixed-methods research
  • Track record of publishing research papers or contributing to rigorous research outputs.
  • Strong analytical, critical-thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills, particularly managing research projects; meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills, including the ability to be solution-oriented, resourceful and communicate effectively in a multi-cultural environment with multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Knowledge of education systems in Cox’s Bazar or in similar contexts.
  • Experience engaging with policymakers and translating evidence into practice.
  • Experience working in humanitarian settings is preferred.
  • Fluent in English and Bangla; fluent in Rohingya, Chittagonian, or Burmese is a plus.
  • Flexible, independent, self-motivating, ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and work under pressure.
  • Interest and ability to work and be based in Cox’s Bazar.

  • Master’s degree in education, economics, anthropology, international development, public policy, or related fields required
