Job Responsibilities:
Technical Quality
- Conduct individual case management for children in Cox’s Bazar in accordance with agreed interagency case management guidelines, protocols, tools, and procedures. This includes identification, assessment, case planning, implementation, follow-up, and case closure.
- Ensure adherence to Best Interest of the Child principles and Child Protection Minimum Standards (CPMS) in all case management activities.
- Provide targeted psychosocial support to children and caregivers on an need basis and referral to structured support where necessary.
- Support children in alternative care arrangements, including foster care and kinship care, ensuring regular follow-ups to monitor their safety and well-being.
- Facilitate Family Tracing and Reunification (FTR) processes in any emergency and work work in collaboration with relevant agencies and community stakeholders.
- Collaborate with health, education, and GBV service providers to ensure a multi-sectoral approach to case management and timely referrals.
- Maintain accurate and confidential case files, ensuring adherence to Data Protection and Information Sharing Protocol (DPISP) in case documentation and information management.
- Provide technical support to community-based child protection structures in identifying and referring cases of children at risk.
- Monitor and track cases, ensuring timely follow-up and that actions are completed in line with case plans.
- Conduct capacity building sessions for community volunteers and para-social workers on child protection case management, safe referrals, and psychosocial support.
- Coordinate and participate in case conferences with supervisors and other partners for complex and high-risk cases.
- Regularly communicate updates, challenges, and needs with the Child Protection Manager and Senior Officer to ensure quality service delivery.
- Regularly conduct field visits to monitor the quality of care provided to children and their families, identifying gaps and proposing improvements.
- Develop and implement caregiver support plans to enhance their parenting skills and coping mechanisms, ensuring a focus on gender and inclusion.
- Participate in regular supervision sessions and debriefings to ensure emotional well-being and capacity development.
Coordination & Representation
- Coordinate with child protection focal points and other CP actors at the field level to stay informed about emerging child protection trends and risks affecting children.
- Receive and respond to referrals from other actors, ensuring appropriate and timely actions in line with case management protocols.
- Maintain close coordination with protection and GBV focal points at the camps to ensure integrated and holistic support for children under case management.
- Provide regular updates, including key challenges and case trends, to the Case Supervisor and Manager for informed discussions at the Case Management Technical Working Group (CMTWG) coordination meetings.
- Actively participate in case management meetings at the field level, including case conferences for high-risk and complex cases.
- Collaborate with other IRC sector teams (e.g., Women’s Protection and Empowerment, Health, Nutrition) at the field level to ensure a coordinated and multi-sectoral response to the needs of children and families.

Eligibilities
Job Requirements;
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in child protection case management, preferably in humanitarian settings such as the Rohingya response.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of working with children, especially vulnerable and at-risk children, including those experiencing abuse, neglect, or exploitation.
- A great teammate with strong interpersonal skills, adaptable and flexible, skilled in building networks, and able to perform well under pressure in cross-cultural environments.
- Completion of Caring for Child Survivors (CCS) training or equivalent child protection-related certifications.
- Fluency in Rohingya and Bangla is essential. Proficiency in English is highly desirable.
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Science, Social Work, Human Rights, or related fields. Candidates with extensive relevant experience may be considered even if their academic background differs.
