HSBC is hiring Senior Human Resource (HR) Advisor, Human Resources (Senior Vice President) 2022 in Bangladesh

Job Responsibilities:

  • Uses human capital metrics to anticipate and identify local trends, risks and needs within the businesses/functions and translate these into strategic and relevant HR deliverables, managing their deployment into the business/functions
  • Provide HR strategic advice to the businesses/functions leadership team in respect of the implementation of the people agenda.
  • Manages end-to-end execution of large scale business changes and people plans that foster workforce effectiveness and efficiencies, whilst mitigating any legal, people or reputational risk
  • Ensures compliance with established Employee Relations Investigation Framework: principles and ways of working. Conduct disciplinary, grievance, and tribunal actions as required
  • Demonstrates in-depth understanding of the environment that business managers work in; delivers relevant and effective human resource solutions
  • As a Change Advocate, continuously promotes the HR model to ensure successful adoption within the businesses/functions
  • Facilitate effective and consistent performance management, calibration and pay review discussions and negotiations within the business/function
  • Supports talent management and succession plans for critical roles within the businesses/functions;
  • Ensure businesses are resourced with the right talent pool at the right time to build an effective workforce
  • Proactively manage talent initiatives with business/functions, support employees’ career development and continuously improve leadership succession pipeline
  • Understand the learning needs of businesses/functions and determine appropriate learning solutions with L&TD team that support business and employee development strategies
  • Work with HoHR on different HR projects to develop and implement programs to achieve country-wide culture goals
  • Support the business in driving engagement by embedding the tools to support employee engagement, leadership and employee behaviour
  • Ensures adherence to established policies and procedures, and compliance with all internal controls and external regulatory requirements; anticipate, identify, and manage the operational/people risks to business performance, HR reputation and the HSBC brand
  • Represents the country and/or region on Global HR Advisory teams and working groups
  • Promote an environment that supports diversity, equity and inclusion and reflects the HSBC brand

Eligibilities

  • Bachelor degree in an HR related discipline is preferred along with extensive HR experience within local/regional capacity
  • A sound working knowledge of HR principles and procedures; strong technical knowledge of fundamental Employee Relations principles, with a strong emphasis on Bangladesh Labour Law and Regulatory frameworks in financial services
  • Proven experience with change management, specifically related to business transformation and implementation of the HR Operating model, including processes, systems and services
  • Ability to demonstrate strong leadership, influencing, facilitation & stakeholder management skills across all levels of management
  • Possesses analytical thinking, problem solving and decision making capabilities; ability to thrive under pressure in a matrix environment with conflicting demands
