FHI 360 is looking for Monitoring, Learning and Evaluation (MLE) advisor, Community-Based MIYCN Project 2023 in Dhaka

Job Responsibilities:

  • Elaborate upon the existing monitoring framework for CBE with support from other team members and discussion with IPHN/NNS, UNICEF and local government health authorities.
  • Ensure close synergy with current health management information systems with a view to maintain consistency and sustainability.
  • Liaise with IPHN/NNS and UNICEF, to ensure that systems designed are streamlined, integrated and closely aligned to national programs and policies
  • Work with project team members and evaluation partner to design and supervise testing of the CBE package in selected intervention and control sites
  • Develop checklists and monthly field follow up plans for site visits.
  • Develop electronic project monitoring system for the project using Kobo Toolbox
  • Conduct data analysis and ensure timely and effective communication of monitoring and other research results to a variety of stakeholders.
  • Train project staff and users of management information systems at the field level ie government functionaries and statisticians etc.
  • Provide technical assistance to frontline workers, frontline managers, and other divisional officials in integrating new indicators under CBE into routine reporting and review systems
  • Develop monthly reports and update dashboard for sharing with UNICEF and IPN/NNS
  • Ensure availability of data on system readiness activities, and technical assistance for drafting contractual deliverables
  • Travel to support the A&T field officers in six Upazilas for about 4-5 days each month.
  • Support activities for development of technology solution supporting CBE activities as needed
  • Any other duties assigned by A&T office.

Eligibilities

  • At least 10 years working experience in i) facilitation of implementation of community level and outreach activities of government and NGOs; (ii) facilitation of training/orientation workshops for government and other partners; (iii) implementation of government programs. Working experiences with other UN/International organizations would be an added advantage
  • Demonstrated experience in managing large data sets for projects or surveys
  • Excellent reading and writing skills in Bangla and English.
  • Knowledge of GoB health service delivery institutions; roles and responsibilities of DGFP, DGHS, Maternal and Child Welfare Centers and community clinics; understanding of service delivery challenges and how to scale up key interventions for improving impact on MIYCN
  • Master’s degree in public health, Social Science, Public Health Nutrition, Management or equivalent. Advanced university degrees (MPH/PhD or relevant) will be preferred.
