BRAC is looking for Senior Specialist, Knowledge Management & Communications, Climate Change Programme (Contractual) 2025 in Dhaka.

Job Resposibilities:

  • Contribute to develop knowledge management strategy and framework
  • Contribute in the strategic planning and design
  • Create collaborative tools to facilitate sharing of ideas that are of use to colleagues and other programmes
  • Establish and maintain processes to ensure knowledge management efforts are shaping
  • strategy and informing decision-making
  • Draft and edit strategic documents of the Climate Change Programme, and prepare strategic position papers or analytical reports
  • Contribute in the design and guide in developing a communication strategy and the preparation of knowledge products related to Climate Change initiatives by BRAC and others as relevant
  • Explore options and contribute in the designing and planning of implementing actions to promote climate resilient solutions under the Programme
  • Coordinate and organise technical events, meetings, dialogues for strategic positioning and better visibility of BRAC in Climate Change discourse
  • Prepare and disseminate newsletter on global, national and project related news on climate change and other important issues
  • Liaising with national, international, government and private sector entities to represent BRAC at the national and international levels, and to build network and partnerships

SAFEGUARDING RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme’s goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
  • Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
  • Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so

  • Excellent team player with necessary analytical, organisational and project management, problem-solving and interpersonal skills, able to work with minimal direction, proactive, flexible and highly creative
  • Demonstrable experience of publishing high quality posts, blogs, and reports • Capability to strategies, coordinate and lead to accomplishment
  • Networking and developing professional relationships and goodwill.
  • Conversant in analytical writing for a development/non-profit organisation, on economic and social issues, change communications, public affairs or other related field within the international development sectors
  • Demonstrable experience of communication mastery, from concepts to campaigns
  • Sound knowledge and working experience of different communication tools and platforms

Educational Requirements

  • Master in Development Studies/Environmental Science/ Management/Social Science Discipline and or any relevant subject.
Experience Requirements
  • Minimum 07 years of work experience. Work experience should majorly include experience in the field of Climate Change or any relevant field.
