icddr,b is looking for Senior Research Officer 2025 in Dhaka.
Job Responsibilities:
- Report to the Assistant Scientist and manage lab research activities, ensuring high-quality work and adherence to protocols.
- Isolate and identify pathogens using culturing and molecular methods, and conduct AMR assays.
- Perform lab assays for Next Generation Sequencing (NGS), including PCR, library prep, and QC of sequencing runs.
- Maintain records and liaise with the central sequencing facility.
- Train team members on lab tasks (sample receipt, processing, and storage).
- Assist in method optimization and literature reviews to adopt new techniques.
- Track and monitor the consumption of lab supplies and resources.

Eligibilities
Job Requirements:
- Masters with Honors in Microbiology/Molecular Biology/ Biochemistry/ Biotechnology/ Genetic Engineering with an excellent academic record and communication skills to work in a multinational environment.
- 5 years of research experience in the relevant field.
