In June 2018, an SDG Advocates Programme was set up and co-convened by the UNDP Bangkok Regional Hub, the UN SDG Action Campaign and UNV Asia-Pacific. 100 young changemakers from 23 countries in Asia-Pacific are leading the change on the SDGs at the grassroots level, as well as online on social media. The first two rounds successfully wrapped up in June 2019. Training webinars, toolkits and resource packages were made available to support this initiative. So far, the initiative helped collect over 40,000 votes on the MY World 2030 platform and organize over 100 local advocacy events thanks to the work of our dedicated SDG champions. To ride on the momentum, a new phase of the programme is about to be launched: it will run from August 2019 until January 2020.
