The Vedica Scholars Programme for Women in partnership with the Observer Research Foundation is hosting the first ever Global Programme for Women’s Leadership (GPWL). GPWL is supported by the Centre for New Economic Diplomacy of the Observer Research Foundation and UK’s Department for International Development. GPWL is inviting you to nominate young women leaders to participate in the 7-day programme which will be hosted in New Delhi, India between April 8th and 14th, 2019.
The Global Programme for Women’s Leadership will bring together 100 young women leaders from India, Africa and the Bay of Bengal Community to host conversations, working sessions, field trips, and cultural immersion activities to provide authentic exposure to young women and prepare them for impactful leadership positions. They will have the opportunity to interact with global leaders and industry experts in their fields.
The mission of the programme is to create a global platform for young women leaders to harness their collective potential and solve the world’s most pressing challenges. The thematic areas of focus will include health, technology and sustainability. The programme will include a series of events – including discussions, mentoring, training and cultural immersion activities.

Eligibilities
Candidates should be between 24 and 35 years of age and, preferably, be active in sectors such as healthcare, technology and sustainability, and have strong leadership potential. Upon receiving nominations, candidates will be evaluated by a distinguished international jury for selection into the programme.
