Niagara University’s English Summer Camp is designed for non-native learners of English. It provides cultural and enrichment activities that focus on the sights and sounds of summer in New York state. Students have the opportunity to become immersed in seasonal activities related to music, sports, nature, shopping and tourism.

Summer 2017 Session:

  • 3.5-week session: June 6- June 30, 2017 ($3,490)
  • 2.5-week session: July 17-August 05, 2017 ($2,900)

  • Artpark State Park – Enjoy a concert in a casual, natural setting.

  • Social Media Club – Develop weekly social media communication for the Niagara University community. The group will practice writing skills by sharing their experiences at Niagara.

Language Experience:

Language experience will be provided for 3.5 hours each weekday. Based on English language proficiency (assessed as first camp component), these experiences would vary based on the needs of the individual student and include:

  • Practice in conversation.
  • Vocabulary enrichment, reading and writing skills.
  • Opportunities to work with assistance (coaching) in the language technology lab.
  • At the conclusion of the Summer Camp, students receive a certificate indicating the English language level and hours completed.

Eligibilities

  • Students from 16 to 23 years old
  • From countries where English is not spoken as the first language
  • Those who want to enhance communication skills in English through ESL classes, cultural activities in the US with international students.
  • Those who wants to expand knowledge in majors/ career orientation through field trips to companies or presentations from professors.
