The Norwegian School of Economics (NHH) is one of the leading business schools in Europe. Selected candidates will receive the title of Ph.D. Research Scholar.The department is looking for highly motivated and talented individuals. The Ph.D. specialization of BMS aims to give a solid training in using rational, systematic, science-based techniques to inform and improve business decisions, making use of empirical and theoretical methods reflecting the state of the art in the field. The specialization offers three directions:
- Business Economics (BE)
- Energy, Natural Resources and the Environment (ENE)
- Management Science (MS)
The Ph.D. The program at NHH is a four-year fully-funded program.Selected candidates will be included in a highly stimulating and rewarding research environment, and will work closely with faculty as well as joining a group of Ph.D. research scholars at the department. The Ph.D. research scholars receive feedback on their work through regular interaction with their supervisor and faculty during seminars. The candidates are expected to participate actively in research seminars and workshops. The place of work will be at NHH in Bergen, and the candidates will receive their own office space in their department.The scholarship involves 25 % teaching and/or research assistance responsibilities. The program gives preference to applicants who submit relevant research proposals that fit best with the research interests of the department.

- The annual salary for the Ph.D. research scholar position is set according to the Norwegian State Salary, and currently pays 436 500 NOK gross (equivalent to approximately € 45 000 or USD 53 500). The salary ensures a fair standard of living in Norway and is subject to Norwegian taxes and benefits, including healthcare provision.

Eligibilities
- Master of Science (MSc) or the comparable degree relevant for your specialization e.g. MSc in Economics and Business Administration, MSc in Social Sciences, MSc in Psychology, MSc in Philosophy, MSc in Mathematics, MSc in Engineering, MSc in Industry, MSc Management, MSc in Law.
- Minimum B (4) in Grade Point Average (GPA), five-point scale (A=five, B=four, C=three, D=two, E=one).
- Minimum B (4) on your master thesis.
- TOEFL minimum scores
- Written: a minimum score of 575 points or.
- Computer-based: a minimum score of 233 points/ Internet-based: a minimum score of 90 points.
- IELTS minimum score
- 6.5 points.
- GMAT minimum score
- 600 points.
- GRE minimum scores
- Quantitative Reasoning: score of 152 points (corresponds to 660 points on the old scale).
- Verbal Reasoning: a minimum score of 153 points (corresponds to 500 points on the old scale).
