The Fulbright Foreign Student Program enables graduate students, young professionals and artists from abroad to study and conduct research in the United States. The Fulbright Foreign Student Program operates in more than 160 countries worldwide. Approximately 4,000 foreign students receive Fulbright scholarships each year.

The Fulbright Foreign Student Program is administered by binational Fulbright Commissions/Foundations or U.S. Embassies. All Foreign Student Program applications are processed by these offices.

The applications for the Fulbright Foreign Student Program 2022-23 have opened. Interested candidates can apply to the program until the deadlines. The deadlines are from February to October 2021.

  • The Fulbright scholarship deadline varies per country but is around February to October annually.
  • The Fulbright scholarship applications are processed by bi-national Fulbright Commissions/Foundations or U.S. Embassies, applicants are advised to contact them for precise information about deadline, eligibility criteria and application procedures.
  • Application for the scholarship is also done through the same local commissions. Therefore, applicants must apply through the Fulbright Commission/Foundation or U.S.
  • Embassy in their home countries.
