It is a nonprofit organisation and is one of the world’s largest organisations based on children, it works in 58,000 communities with the help of volunteers to improve how 56 million children live. The charity also has 21 national organisations who have been given the responsibility to oversee the raising of funds and awareness in their individual countries.
As part of the Global Logistics & Procurement Team, this role will provide professional support to the Procurement Category Manager and Head of Logistics and Procurement, as well as supporting other members of the Logistics & Procurement Team.
This role will have authority to procure on behalf of Plan International, and commit expenditure externally with third parties.
The Procurement Officer will be responsible for analysing quotations and making recommendations in a competitive bidding process, as well as running the majority of a tender process from identifying business needs with key stakeholders through to award of contract.

Eligibilities
The ideal candidate will have experience of working in a procurement function and developing, supporting and maintaining processes and systems.
Possessing excellent attention to detail, resilience and consistency, the Procurement Officer must have negotiation skills and the ability to identify value drivers on different types of procurement.
You should have knowledge of competitive bidding and be comfortable dealing with staff at all levels of the organisation, both within Plan International, and across the Federation.
Experience in using an ERP such as SAP and the ability to speak additional languages (French or Spanish in particular) would be an advantage
