Europe on Track is looking for inspiring young people that would like to have a life-changing experience; travel for 1 month to 10 cities in Europe and deliver workshops about Sustainability and Climate Change.

Europe on Track is a project of AEGEE (European Students’ Forum) run by young volunteers who aim to raise awareness, to create a space for discussion and to capture the opinions of youth in Europe on important social issues.

The program ambassadors in teams of 3 (one videographer, one photographer and one interviewer per team) will travel by train across 20 countries in one month to deliver workshops, interview young people and organize events in cooperation with 200 volunteers from 30 cities in Europe.

Benefits

  • You will travel to 10 cities in one month with InterRail passes provided by AEGEE and Europe on Track;
  •  You will be provided with accommodation and 3 meals per day during the trip
  •  You will facilitate and moderate workshops and discussions at the different stops (including conferences) about Sustainability and Climate Change;
  •  You will assist the project team with the planning of logistics and you will develop the content for the workshops and discussions;
  •  You will be a spokesperson for Europe on Track in the media
  • You will get an InterRail ticket from the organizer, and at each stop, the AEGEE locals will provide food and accommodation.
  • Your trip from home to Thessaloniki and from Kraków to your location will NOT be covered by default, but we’re working on this.
  • The costs of reservations of tickets during the trip will be provided (22nd March – 22nd April)

Eligibilities

No worries, you do not have to fit all the criteria mentioned below in order to apply!

YOU:

  • Are between 18-30 years old, as of March 22nd, 2018
  • Are active in an (international) student
  • Organization or non-profit organization related to Sustainability and Climate Change
  • Feel strong ties to Europe
  • Like to talk and work with people of different ages and cultures
  • Have consistent backpacking and traveling experience
  • Have an international mindset
    Are responsible and reliable
  • Have a can-do and up-for-anything attitude
  • Are resistant to stress and physical fatigue
  • Like to take an initiative
  • Have an open mind
  • Have experience developing and delivering workshops or presentations
  • Are good at problem-solving and thinking outside the box
  • Are interested and knowledgeable about Sustainability and Climate Change

3 Different Roles:

  • Videographer:
    • Have your own video camera
    • Filming and editing skills
    • Have your own editing software
    • Have your own tripod that you can bring during the trip
    • Have extra batteries for your video camera that you can bring during the trip
    • Have your own laptop you can edit on and bring during the trip
  • Photographer
    • Have your own reflex camera
    • Photo shooting and editing skills
    • Have your own editing software
    • Have extra batteries for your camera that you can bring during the trip
    • Have your own laptop you can edit on and bring during the trip
  • Blogger
    • Have your own recorder (phone with enough space and microphone also works)
    • Previous experience blogging
    • Previous experience doing interviews
    • Previous experience with WordPress
    • High level of English
    • Have your own laptop you can write on and bring during the trip
