Europe on Track 6 is looking for ambassadors to go on a life-changing one-month adventure to discuss the future of Europe!

Europe on Track is a project of AEGEE (European Students’ Forum) run by young volunteers who aim to raise awareness, to create a space for discussion and to capture the opinions of youth in Europe on important social issues.

During the project 6 ambassadors in 2 teams (one videographer, one photographer and one interviewer per team) travel by train across 15 countries in one month to deliver workshops, interview young people and manage events in cooperation with 200 volunteers from over 20 cities in Europe.

Roles:

  • You will travel to 10 cities in one month with Interrail passes provided by AEGEE and Europe on Track
  • You will sleep in trains and be hosted at other people’s houses in every stop;
  • You will facilitate and moderate workshops and discussions at the different stops (including conferences) about Future of Europe and Youth Participation;
  • You will develop the content for the workshops and discussions together with the project team;
  • You will be a spokesperson for Europe on Track in the media;
  • You will be speaking to different people; from policy makers and stakeholders to high school students.

  •  You will assist the project team with the planning and developing the content for the workshops and discussions;
  •  You will be a spokesperson for Europe on Track in the media
  • Your trip from home to Istanbul, Turkey and from Brussels, Belgium to your location will be covered partly or fully under certain conditions.

Eligibilities

You are eligible if you:

  • are between 18-30 years old, as of March 2019
  • are active in a (international) student organization or non-profit organization
  • Save experience developing and delivering workshops or presentations in English
  • are interested and knowledgeable about European politics and youth participation
  • are responsible, reliable and initiative
  • have a can-do and up-for-anything attitude
  • resistant to stress and physical fatigue
  • like to talk and work with people of different ages and cultures
  • have backpacking and travelling experience

They are looking for people to fill the three roles:

Interviewers

  • Have your own recorder (phone with enough space and microphone also works)
  • Previous experience blogging/writing
  • Previous experience doing interviews
  • High command of written English
  • Have your own laptop you can write on and bring during the trip

Photographers

  • Photoshooting and editing skills are necessary
  • Your own camera and tripod
  • Your own editing software
  • Extra batteries for your camera that you can bring during the journey
  • Your own laptop you can edit on and bring during the journey

Videographers

  • Videomaking and editing skills are necessary
  • Your own video camera and editing software
  • Your own tripod that you can bring during the journey
  • Extra batteries for your video camera that you can bring during the journey
  • Your own laptop you can edit on and bring during the journey
