UNLEASH Hacks Mongolia
  • June 26 - July 3, 2021

UNLEASH is a global initiative that brings together young leaders, experts, and entrepreneurs to develop innovative solutions to the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals. UNLEASH brings together 1,000 young people from across the world for an annual innovation lab, organizes local hacks and supports ongoing capacity building and solution implementation. UNLEASH’s other key activities include UNLEASH Hacks, UNLEASH Storytellers and UNLEASH+ accelerator programs. UNLEASH has been recognized as one of the world’s most influential sustainability brands, having engaged 4,000 talents from 160 countries and facilitated the development of 600 SDG solutions with +300 partners. Since 2017, UNLEASH has run three annual Innovation Labs in Denmark, Singapore and China.

UNLEASH Hacks are localized, scalable and cost-efficient innovation processes designed to address sustainability challenges in specific contexts around the world. By leveraging the community and methodology of the UNLEASH Innovation Lab, they are built on robust foundations and can be adapted to local needs over a collaborative 2-day process. The UNLEASH Mongolia Hack 2021 theme focuses on advocating for the creation of sustainable digital and technological solutions to address air pollution in Ulaanbaatar for a healthy future generation. Ulaanbaatar is one of the world’s most polluted capitals. Ulaanbaatar’s ger districts are home to about two-thirds of the capital’s population, where fossil fuels are burned, resulting in over 60 percent of the city’s overall air pollution.
