Mobility First! braces the mobility of artists and cultural professionals for cross-border activities that include participation in events, networking, research and collaborative meetings. It is provided to selected individuals for travel from Asia to Europe, Europe to Asia and within Asia.

Benefits

The participants shall gain the following opportunities:

  • Travel around Asia and Europe
  • Participate in events and spread their work
  • A chance to diverse learning from fellow artists

Eligibilities

Eligibilities:

  • Applicant must from a country that is a member of ASEM
  • Has to be an artist or cultural professional
  • Applicant’s destination country has to be an ASEM member country
Eligible Regions: Asia-Europe Meeting(ASEM) member countries

Application Process

Both individuals and organizations can apply for this opportunity. Applications focusing on contemporary artistic and cultural disciplines are highly encouraged. Individuals or organizations may apply for travel support to participate in any of the following:

  1. Workshops or trainings
  2. Conferences or forums
  3. Festivals, biennales, or international exhibitions
  4. Artists’ or writers’ residencies
  5. Partner meeting/s to set up or maintain an existing partnership
  6. Practice-led research
  7. “Go and see” / short-term exploration / networking

The results of the applications shall be announced on July 31, 2018.
