The UN Refugee Agency, UNHCR, was established in 1950 by the United Nations General Assembly to provide protection and assistance to refugees worldwide. In more than five decades, UNHCR has helped more than 50 million people restart their lives. Today, UNCHR staff in more than 120 countries continue to help and protect millions of refugees, returnees, internally displaced and stateless people.
The Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees Regional Office in the United States of America and the Caribbean seeks a volunteer intern to assist staff in the resettlement section.

Eligibilities
- Course work in International Human Rights Law and/or US Immigration Law strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with US refugee resettlement or US immigration programs is desirable.
- Understanding of UNHCR resettlement guidelines and criteria preferred.
- Excellent Oral and written communication skills.
- Familiarity with Access databases and website development.
- Intern Two to three months (20 hours or more per week).
