The University of Granada, UGr, and the United Nations University Biotechnology Programme for Latin America and the Caribbean, UNU-BIOLAC jointly propose a special fellowship for research and training internships for a period not exceeding three months at UGr.

Benefits

UNU-BIOLAC will pay in full for the fellow’s:

  • Round-trip air tickets (home country – Granada – home country)
  • Laboratory fees (500 USD per month)
  • Lodging at the University of Granada’s campus
  • Living expenses estimated in 650 Euros per month, covered by both UNU-BIOLAC and UGr
  • Student card and access to sports facilities
  • Medical insurance provided under UNU fellowship conditions for the length of the research stay

Eligibilities

  • Applicants should have a Ph.D. degree (preferable, not mandatory)
  • Any nationality from Latin America and the Caribbean countries qualifies
  • Candidates must be currently involved in an active research project
  • Affiliation to a university or research institution is mandatory
  • Research fellowships should be framed by any of the priority areas of interest of UNU-BIOLAC
  • Applicants who have previously granted a fellowship by UNU-BIOLAc will not eligible until 3 years from the date of final report delivery

Conditions

  • Fellows will develop a short-term (up to three months) research project in collaboration with an accredited researcher from the Universidad de Granada
  • Fund support will be granted for up to 3 months
  • Eligibility will consider research projects that may be expected to benefit the region the most, and also that fit within the research interest of the UGr host Professor
