The Palm Beach Poetry Festival is a nonprofit organization dedicated to fostering the writing, reading, performance, and appreciation of poetry – by presenting an annual festival and other poetry events in Palm Beach County – featuring America’s finest poets.

The Palm Beach Poetry Festival has flourished for 11 years, presenting workshops with America’s most laurelled and engaging poets. Participants and auditors have hailed from over 24 States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Israel, Qatar, and Peru. They also host a special guest poet for readings and interviews. Some of their events combine poetry with other arts, including jazz (featuring Special Guest, former United States Poet Laureate, Robert Pinsky), dance, photography, painting and sculpture.

The Palm Beach Poetry Festival continues this extraordinary legacy as one of the leading literary events in America.

In honour of CantoMundo which nurtures and supports the numerous aesthetic and philosophical approaches of Latinx poetry in the USA, and builds on the aesthetically, culturally, and linguistically diverse work of Latinx poets, who have historically—and with limited economic resources—formed supportive literary spaces. you can have the opportunity to be Fellow at the Palm Beach Poetry Festival.

The fellow will be an outstanding poet who will benefit from and contribute to participation in the workshop.

The 2020 Workshop Faculty includes Laure-Anne Bosselaar, Nickole Brown / Jessica Jacobs, Reginald Gibbons, Major Jackson, Ilya Kaminsky, Dana Levin, Adrian Matejka, and Maggie Smith. Their Special Guest Poet will be Joy Harjo, and Patricia Smith will be the festival Poet-at-Large.
