Ashoka U is an initiative of Ashoka, the world’s largest network of social entrepreneurs. Building on Ashoka’s vision for a world where Everyone is a Changemaker, Ashoka U takes an institutional change approach to impact the education of millions of students. Ashoka U helps break down barriers to institutional change and fosters a culture of social innovation in higher education. Ashoka U’s global network of 150 colleges and universities is advancing an education that develops interdisciplinary, entrepreneurial, and solutions-oriented skills.

The 2018 Ashoka U Exchange, co-hosted by Babson College, will take place on April 5-7, 2018 in Boston, Massachusetts. The Exchange is one of the largest international gatherings for college and university professionals to learn and share leading practices for embedding social innovation in higher education.

Throughout the gathering, participants come together to share how they equip aspiring changemakers – through their classrooms, co-curricular programs, departments, institutions, communities and beyond – to catalyze long-term, meaningful change and social impact.

Eligibilities

  • College and university faculty, staff, and administrators
  • Students – both undergraduate and graduate*

  • Social entrepreneurs and Ashoka Fellows
  • Ashoka U is able to offer a limited number of scholarships for individuals with demonstrated need who plan to attend the Exchange for the first time.

Priority will be given to:

  • First-time Exchange attendee
  • Faculty, staff, administrators at higher education institutions
  • Representatives from community colleges
  • Representatives from historically black colleges and universities
  • Representatives from tribal colleges
