Hanyang’s Social Venture Challenge invites aspiring social entrepreneurs from around the world to showcase their innovative and sustainable solutions to the challenges for the Sustainable Development Goals for 2030 (SDGs). The competition is held at Hanyang University in Seoul, South Korea on November 16, 2018 as part of the Seventeen Hearts Festival – a celebration of youth-led social innovation. The Challenge will invite 10 finalist teams to pitch their social ventures to a panel of experts for their chance to gain access to training, networks and funding from Hanyang University and its partners.

Eligibilities
- The team must include a student, current or recent graduate, from any level of higher education (undergraduate, masters level/graduate, or doctoral) in any area of study in the world ** Recent graduates must have completed their degree within 1 year as of November 1, 2018
- The student or recent student must be actively involved in the venture (i.e., a founder or co-founder, actively participating in the development of the business or actively working on the business)
- The student or recent student must be one of the team’s presenters and must be available to answer judges’ questions
- In the case that the team has multiple members outside of Seoul, South Korea, only one representative (the student or recent student) will be sponsored to attend the Seventeen Hearts Festival at Hanyang University in Seoul. Additional team members are welcome to join at their own cost
- ** For representatives outside of Seoul but within South Korea, cost of travel via intercity bus / train, accomodations in Seoul and basic meals will be sponsored. Local transportation within Seoul will not be sponsored
- ** For representatives outside of South Korea, round-trip flight ticket, accomodations in Seoul and basic meals will be sponsored. Airport transfer and local transportation within Seoul will not be sponsored
