The Paul Hodges Trust award grants to projects that aspire to tackle poverty through women empowerment. They look for projects that not only empower women by giving them a voice and control over their lives, but also coordinates it with eradicating poverty. Paul Hodges Trust aims to build a brighter future, free from poverty.

Grants shall be awarded to:

  1. Eligible Organisations
  2. Specific Geographical Areas

Projects mostly that are to be completed within 12 months of the project’s start date are encouraged, since multi-year grants will generally not be made.

The winners shall be awarded with a grant of upto £15,000 each.

Eligibilities

The projects have to be working with one or more of the following:

  • Challenge and change negative attitudes and discriminatory practices that hold women and adolescent girls back
  • Provide access to sexual and reproductive health and rights
  • Support women and/or adolescent girls’ education
  • Promote women’s economic empowerment
  • Promote women’s political empowerment
  • Tackle violence against women and girls

Application Process

To apply, a form provided in their website needs to be filled up. Forms that are duly fulfilled within the deadline and fulfill the criteria, shall be dug into in May, by the Trustees:

  • Shortlisted applications will be notified by the end of May for discussion of grant conditions and administrative processes. The names of the winners shall be announced in June.
  • Unsuccessful applicants will be notified by the end of June.
