LPG Young Talent Grants 2018 is accepting applications. Liquid Gas Europe aims at rewarding creative students with an interest in the field of energy and in the LPG sector in particular

Liquid Gas Europe designs, develops, and delivers projects aimed at educating the public on the benefits of LPG. We also connect the industry with the media and produce campaigns promoting the advantages of a higher uptake of LPG as a source of energy.

The European LPG Association, Liquid Gas Europe, is introducing the LPG Young Talent Grants. With this programme, Liquid Gas Europe aims at rewarding creative and innovative projects developed by talented young people with an interest in the energy sector. The LPG Young Talent Grants will have its first edition in 2018 and are open to all students that fit the criteria specified below.

The LPG Young Talent Grants call for submissions into two different categories:
– Technical & research
– Business development

They are looking for Bachelor, Master or PhD students from any academic background – i.e. directly related to energy or not – that are still studying or have graduated in 2018, with a keen interest in the field of energy and in the LPG sector in particular.

The European LPG Association is the voice of a vibrant industry that believes in young talents with the will of promoting their most creative ideas to make the energy sector cleaner, more innovative and more efficient. Liquid Gas Europe is comprised of national LPG associations and of the leading European LPG suppliers, distributors and equipment manufacturers, representing the full supply chain of LPG in Europe.

Benefits

  • The winner of each category will receive €1500.
  • Chosen applicants will be invited to travel to Brussels for a networking dinner on the 28th of November.
  • Additionally, the next day, the applicants will have the opportunity to present their project in front of the Liquid-Gas Europe General Assembly, which gathers all major players from the LPG industry.

Bachelor, Master or PhD students from any academic background.

Application Process

  • Technical research Category:
    • *Short CV of the candidate (max 1 page)
    • *Abstract (max 250 words): Please ensure it is clear and highlights the key aspects of the project, the innovation, the potential, operational efficiency, safety and/or environmental impact.
    • *An essay of max 4 pages (Font size 12), including:
    • Issue or gap to cover
    • Opportunities and implementation
    • Your idea or research results
    • Conclusions

Optionally, the candidates can include an annex with graphs, images and any additional information that might complement their essay.

 

  • Business Development Category:
    • *Short CV of the candidate (max 1 page)
    • *Abstract (max 250 words): Please ensure it is clear and highlights the key aspects of the project, the innovation, and the commercial potential.
    • *An essay of max 4 pages (Font size 12), including:
    • Issue or gap to cover
    • Opportunities
    • Your idea or business proposal
    • Estimates for market potential and investment required
    • Conclusions

Optionally, the candidates can include an annex with graphs, images and any additional information that might complement their essay.
