Competition Themes
The United Nations set out 17 sustainable development goals, designed to be a “blueprint to achieve a better and more sustainable future for all”. The Superheros will help to reach these goals by summoning their creative superpowers.
These goals can be broadly categorized into 5 themes:
- People
Relates to the society at large and aims specifically at reducing poverty and hunger, improving quality of education, promoting gender equality and ensuring access to clean water for all. - Peace
Promotes peaceful and inclusive collaboration of communities and countries to achieve effective results of cooperative efforts. - Planet
Talks about those goals that promote positive climate action, while conserving, protecting and restoring both life on land and underwater. - Partnerships
Aims to strengthen the means of development and implementation of ideas to achieve these goals together as citizens of the planet. - Prosperity
These are economic goals aimed at achieving sustainable cities, responsible consumption, reduced inequalities amongst countries and clean and affordable energy for everyone.
