South Asian Network on Economic Modeling ( SANEM ) is going to arrange a workshop on writing and presenting academic paper. The workshop will be held on September 5, 2019at 9:30 am. Dr Robert C. M. Beyer, economist, South Asia Office, World Bank will be present in the workshop to share his personal tips and tricks on writing a good paper and publishing it. Rucheta Singh, consultant, South Asia Office of World Bank will  hold a session on how to present academic research.

SANEM is a network of economists and policymakers in South Asia. It seeks to produce country and South Asian region specific policy and thematic research. SANEM encourages students, young practitioners, researchers and academicians to apply for participation. The objective is to provide the attendees with good knowledge on how to write, present and publish academic paper appositely.

Dr Robert C. M. Beyer and Rucheta Singh will conduct the workshop. Dr. Robert C.M. Beyar is an economist at the South Asia Office of the Chief Economist at the World Bank. He is the lead author of the biannual macroeconomic update for South Asia entitled South Asia Economic Focus. Before joining the World Bank in 2016, he completed a Ph.D. at Goethe University Frankfurt and conducted research at the European Central Bank and the International Monetary Fund. His research focuses on empirical macroeconomics and has been published in numerous peer-reviewed journals, according to Google Scholar his papers are cited by over 100 others.

Rucheta Singh is a Consultant at the South Asia Office of the Chief Economist at the World Bank. She works on the South Asia Economic Policy Network’s operations and logistics, in additional to providing contributions to the biannual macroeconomic update, the South Asia Economic Focus. She had completed her MA from the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies, with a concentration in International Law and International Development before working for World Bank.
