Public Health Training Camp 2020 in Dhaka.

Global Public Health Research Foundation is pleased to invite you to attend the Third Public Health Training Camp to be held between January 2nd – January 8th, 2020 in Uttara, Dhaka. Facilitated by a team of renowned international experts including Prof Stuart Gilmour, St. Luke’s International University, Tokyo, Japan; Prof Papia Sultana, University of Rajshahi, Bangladesh; Prof Shamima Pervin, Mugda Medical College; Dr. Mizanur Rahman, The University of Tokyo, Japan; Jenny Jung, Yale University, USA; Dr. Shamima Akter, National Center for Global Health and Medicine, Tokyo, Japan; Md. Mahfuzur Rahman, Global Public Health Research Foundation, this workshop will cover both theory and application of the selected topics with a mixture of lectures and practical sessions, including ‘hands-on’ training to explore and analyze public health data using Stata/R software.

The training will be facilitated by renowned national and international public health experts to cover three consecutive sessions:

  • Introduction to STATA (January 2-3, 2020)
  • Systematic Review and Meta-analysis (January 4 – 5, 2020)
  • Epidemiology and Biostatistics (January 6 – 8, 2020)

GPHRF aims to improve population health and develop leaders in public health through research and training. In alignment with GPHRF’s goals, the content of the workshop will focus on the core concepts of Epidemiology and Public Health, and to develop research skills required to conduct systematic reviews/meta-analysis for both experts and early-career researchers.
