Winrock International is looking for Management Information Systems (MIS) and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Specialist 2022 in Dhaka
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain MIS/GIS data bases and dashboards – including computerized mapping – used by the Esho Shikhi Project and Winrock International;
- Utilize GIS software to analyze spatial and non-spatial information to support evidence-based decision making for the activity;
- Ensure the stable operation of the project’s database(s) and dashboards and conduct regular updates and functionality tests, serving as the project’s first line of defense against critical malfunctions;
- Utilize the MIS and GIS systems to analyze data and help the Esho Shikhi project team understand the meaning of the data and its effective use;
- Ensure the security of data by implementing regular software, security, and operation systems updates;
- Diagnose and develop repair strategies to address threats to project data and related issues;
- Collaborate with the Esho Shikhi’s technical and communications staff to visualize important findings for reports and other uses;
- Develop dashboards, input, and clean data;
- Train project staff as needed in MIS dashboards;
- Participate as required in Winrock International’s Community of Practice;
- Collaborate with other staff members including the Sr. MERLA officer, Technical Specialists, Operations team, IT team, etc;
- Other duties as assigned

Eligibilities
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in geography, education, statistics, computer information systems, or a relevant discipline
Work Experience:
- 4-5 years’ experience working with cloud-based databases
- Experience working on international development education activities preferred
- Experience using geographic information systems to inform monitoring and evaluation plans
- Experience managing large M&E databases and conducting timely data analysis and developing reports. SQL database experience preferred
- Experience in both quantitative and qualitative data collection and analysis
- Experience managing data entry through Mobile Application, preferably ODK or Survey123
- Experience with capacity building in MIS required
- Familiarity with USAID M&E requirements strongly preferred
- Familiarity with emerging trends in MERL quality and access to education especially in the context of Bangladesh

- Fluency in Bengali required
