UNICEF is hiring Communication for Development Officer 2021 in Mymensingh
The Communication for Development Officer reports to the Chief, Field Office and in close coordination with the Chief, Communication for Development, the incumbent is responsible for the development, planning, management, and implementation monitoring of evidence based, inclusive and innovative C4D/social and behavior change communication (SBCC) micro-strategies, plans and partnerships in support of the divisional office results and overall country programme.
Responsibilities:
- C4D Micro-Strategy Design, Work Planning and Implementation Monitoring
- Networking, Partnerships & Coordination
- Local Capacity Development & Systems Strengthening in C4D
- Research, Innovation and Knowledge Management
- Local Advocacy and Media Relations Support
- Local Material Production and Dissemination
- Support to Field Office Operations & Management

Eligibilities
- A university degree in the social/behavioural sciences (Sociology, Anthropology, Psychology, communication, Health communication, and Health Education) with emphasis on participatory communication, communication planning, social mobilization, participatory research, training and impact evaluation of social and behaviour change communication interventions. An Advanced university degree in the social/behavioural sciences listed above is an asset.
- At least 5 years progressively responsible work experience in the planning and management of social development programmes, including two years at sub-national level, with practical experience in the adaptation and application of C4D planning processes to specific programmes.
- Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of another official UN language or local language of the duty station is considered as an asset.
