IOM is looking for an IM Assistant 2020 in Dhaka.
Under overall supervision of the Deputy Chief of Mission and the direct supervision of the Senior Programme Officer (REMAP) and in close coordination with the National IM Officer of Regional Evidence for Migration Analysis and Policy (REMAP) (REMAP) in IOM Bangladesh Country office, the incumbent will support the coordination, and implementation of information management activities under the DTM REMAP project.
Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
1. Contributes to the implementation of IM activities under the project.
2. Contributes to the development and visualization of REMAP output products, such as info sheets, reports and (interactive) dashboards etc.
3. Contributes to locate and examine specific project needs related to data gathering, cleaning and preliminary analyses relevant to project deliverables.
4. Contributes to the development and maintenance of databases and other information management/reporting systems.
5. Contributes to the implementation of the information management systems and application adhere to Information Communication and Technology (ICT) Policies and Standards.
6. Perform such other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.

Eligibilities
• University degree in Information Management, GIS, Computer Science or a related field from an accredited academic institution with three year of relevant professional experience
• Experience and skills to analyze statistical information.
• Expertise on data processing and analysis software (MS-Excel, SPSS, STATA, Tableau or others).
• Ability to compile and holistically analyze diverse datasets
• Knowledge in advanced data visualization and information design skills.
• Documented experience of using system analysis methods and data modelling tools, relational databases and object-oriented programming would be an advantage
• Experience in the development and implementation of population database systems (such as registrations, census or surveys)
