IOM is looking for a National Programme Officer (Partnership and Capacity Building) 2022 in DHAKA

Responsibilities and accountabilities:

  • Ensure timely and efficient planning and implementation of the programmatic, administrative, and operational activities of the assigned projects in coordination with the supervisor.
  • Develop and implement capacity building plan for different stakeholders for better migration service delivery mechanism
  • Enhance the partnership of IOM Bangladesh with a diverse set of stakeholders including relevant ministries of the Government of Bangladesh, INGOs, National and Local NGOs, academia and the private sectors.
  • Undertake programmatic liaising and maintain close collaboration with relevant stakeholders such as Government entities at all levels, national NGOs, INGOs, etc. to enhance programme effectiveness.
  • Maintain programme related data, information and records of the activities and prepare the interim and final project reports.
  • Contribute to the development of new project/ programme ideas and proposals to expand programme portfolio of the Mission.
  • Coordinate in the organization, logistics, finance, administration and coordination of meetings, workshops, seminars, trainings, and conferences at the national level as well as regional events.
  • Undertake duty travel related to programme assessment, liaison with counterparts, problem solving and new programme developments, as required.
  • Perform any other tasks that may be assigned by the supervisor.

Eligibilities

Education, Experience and Skills:

  • Completed university degree in Business Administration and other related fields or a combination of relevant education and experience.
  • At least one year of relevant experience including familiarity with generally accepted policy and procedures.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, E-mail, Outlook.
  • Discreet, details and clients-oriented, patient and willingness to learn new things.
  • Prior experiences with international humanitarian organizations, non-government or government institutions/organization in a multi-cultural setting is an advantage
