BRAC International is looking for Manager, Risk Management, 2023 in Dhaka

Job Responsibilities:

  • Arrange meetings and seminars on Risk Management for the beneficiaries and stakeholders.
  • Schedule periodic programme-wise risk coordinator meetings and develop agenda and contents.
  • Collection and analysis of risk registers and subsequently update the Head of Risk Management on any major findings and deviation of risk (Mitigation plan trend tracking).
  • Prepare quarterly and ad-hoc risk management reports for the Head of Risk management and Senior Management and stakeholders as well.
  • Support entity risk coordinators on risk assessment and conduct continuous awareness session with country team to enhance the risk management culture across BI.
  • Lead and participate in preparing risk management capacity development training modules and suggest proposals for the development of the modules based on programmes/support functions/social enterprises’ risk.
  • Help managers at all levels across the BI to ensure that risk management is embedded at an operational level within the business and that staff at all levels are aware of and manage risk as a core part of their responsibilities.
  • Conducts the risk management session with country team and enhance the country risk management through adequate knowledge sharing.

Safeguarding:

  • Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme’s goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
  • Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
  • Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.

Eligibilities

Educational Requirements:

  • Master’s/Bachelor’s degree in any Business Studies preferable – Finance, Economics, Development Studies, International Development.
  • Certification on Risk Management/Audit will be added advantage.

Required Competencies:

  • Knowledge on Microsoft Office Applications including excellence in data analysis, report generation and designing and presentation preparation.
  • Skill in Advance Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent ability to influence, drive change and resolve conflicts.
  • Ability to work independently and also in the group.
  • Knowledge of working in fast-paced, technology-based development organization.
  • Strong analytic, logical reasoning, and problem-solving, risk vs. reward skills.
  • Must be able to conduct meetings with Senior Management.
  • Required Leadership skills, work as a motivator, good negotiation skills, team player, innovative and willing to travel to BI operational countries

Experience Requirements:

  • 4 to 5 years of relevant experience in INGOs, Bank, NBFI, FMCG & Telco.
