BRAC, an international development organisation based in Bangladesh, is looking interns for their Programme and Enterprise Communications department.
The intern will support the Programme Communications unit of BRAC, where the intern is expected to work in close collaboration with the Team Lead of Programme & Enterprise Communications to support their day-to-day communication needs. This will require the coordinate meetings, attend and take notes during events, develop content for various media (digital and print) including social media, identify programme needs and follow-up on campaign/event proceedings. The intern would have full liberty to visit programme locations and take notes pertaining to their internship report.
The Programme Communications unit manages communications for the social development programmes and enterprises in BRAC by creating communication strategies and enhancing visibility through the creation of content and campaigns.
BRAC Communications aims to actively promote, protect and enhance BRAC’s image through strategic communication. It also fosters innovation and synergy at BRAC by facilitating an effective exchange of ideas and information, both internally and externally. The department maintains consistency in all external communications, facilitates knowledge-sharing and employee engagement, and ensures brand consistency within the organization. It is committed to continuously develop channels and capacity within the organisation and to innovates, different modes of activity to promote a better understanding of BRAC, raise its global profile and build a common platform where BRAC’s mission, vision and values can be shared across boundaries.

Intern’s Responsibilities:
Support team to meet the day-to-day communication needs of the Programme;
Work closely with the team lead and communications focals of SDP and IDP to find content for both digital and offline media;
Support team lead and focal to execute events;
Work with Programme Communications team to support during major event and activation.
Duration: 3 Months
Starting Date: 25 January 2020
Location: 20th Floor, Head Office, Dhaka

Eligibilities
a) Educational Background :
Level: Bachelor’s / Master’s degree from any reputed university
Subject: Marketing / Economics / Development Studies / Mass Communication and Journalism / English
b) Language Proficiency:
Bangla
Spoken: Fluent
Written: Proficient

c) Knowledge/Skills/Competencies:
Writing and Bangla typing
Research
Understanding of mainstream media and channels
Microsoft MS package
d) Work/Volunteering Experience:
Previous experience in media/marketing agency will be an added advantage
Extracurricular activities in university clubs/social volunteering activity will get priority
