BRAC, an international development organisation based in Bangladesh, is looking interns for their Administration, Security Risk Management department.

The administration department comprises of units- procurement, transport, estate, security risk management, safety, logistics, central store, telecommunication and travel management & protocol. BRAC driving school and BRAC community road safety programme are also under BRAC administration leadership. Their units support smooth governance and service delivery of all BRAC programmes and enterprises through procurement of goods and services, ensuring safe transport and raising awareness on road safety, ensuring occupational safety & security of their staff, managing land properties, assisting Their staff in their visa and travel arrangements for overseas work, ensuring smooth supply chain of goods through central store, providing logistics and cleaning services.

BRAC’s comprehensive security management programme named ‘Security Risk Management’ is designated to assist the organization in development, documentation and implementation of policies and procedures for protecting its assets; establishing standards for security applications that should be followed to safeguard people; prevent losses, ensure secure and favorable environment throughout the organization to attain its vision. Some of the key functions of the unit is to keep BRAC and BRAC International management informed of all security issues within operational domain at all times and ensure implementation of appropriate counter-measures, coordinate security issues for better optimization of allocated resources, monitor security situation and coordinate response to out of the ordinary situations, evaluate and coordinate with programmes to make all new processes/ changes to existing processes to ensure safe and secure environment throughout the organisation.

c) Knowledge/Skills/Competencies:
● Excellent report writing and analytical skills;
● Excellent knowledge & skill of MS Office;
● Excellent communication skill (both written and verbal);
● Sincere commitment to ‘doing good’.
d) Work/Volunteering Experience:
Experience in working in a research project, managing stakeholder communication, working in a multicultural environment, developing a database is preferred, but not mandatory.
