Solve local climate issues at Climathon | Dhaka 2019

Climathon is a year-round programme, with a powerful solutions-hackathon at its core, creating climate action in the form of tangible projects; supporting climate positive businesses and start-ups; and, addressing local policy changes.
Climathon follows three steps toward achieving climate action:

• Defining the climate challenges
• Developing solutions to solve climate challenges
• Providing continued support to realize the solutions

Climate Hackathon Dhaka – 25 October 2019

Climathon 2019 is now open for participant registration in Dhaka. It will be held on the 25th of October, 2019 at the Daily Star Centre. Gen Lab in association with Torun is the city organizer in partnership with Climate-KIC, an EU body.

You’ll collaborate with other participants during a 24-hour hackathon to find innovative solutions. The Climathon will take place simultaneously around the globe on 25th October; same for Dhaka.

Challenges can vary from urban mobility, climate finance, circular economy, energy, etc globally but this year, Sustainable Energy and Food Adulteration and Contamination are the challenges for Climathon Dhaka 2019.

Guidelines:

• You can register as an individual or even as a team. However individuals will have to form a team on the hackathon day through guidance of the moderators. Maximum number of team members would be 5.
• This will be a 24 hour program and you must be present at the venue from starting till it ends. This means you have to be physically present at the venue during the whole event. Register only if you can commit that time-frame and contribute accordingly.
• You will be provided with food and certificates, there will be jury board to decide the best team and the best team will be recognized.
