GP Accelerator 2.0 (Pre-Accelerator program) – Turn Your IDEA to MVP

Startup accelerators, also known as seed accelerators, are fixed-term, cohort-based programs that include seed investment, connections, mentorship, educational components, and culminate in a public pitch event or demo day to accelerate growth.Most startup accelerators in Silicon Valley and globally are privately funded as an investment fund that take equity and focus on a wide range of industries.

Grameenphone Accelerator (GPA) is a cohort-based, mentor-led and curriculum-driven open innovation platform helps early stages entrepreneur to validate their IDEA, prototype building and help them to make investable. Sheba.XYZ, CMED Health, Repto, Cramstack, AlterYouth and BankcompareBD are few startups that have successfully graduated from the Accelerator program. GP Accelerator empowers tech startups with the resources they need to build, grow, and Go Beyond. It also provides seed funding, expert mentors, top-notch curricula, in-house development resources, investor access and many more.

The Pre-Accelerator program:

25 teams with a validated idea along with their unique proposition and 2 months of training for them to prepare properly for launching in the market. Grameenphone Accelerator receives over a thousand applications for each cohort and the process to select the startups combines an online application for all, a two-day selection boot-camp for top 30-35 and two rounds of pitching and judging comprising of the local investors, ecosystem leaders and Grameenphone Management Team. Startups receive up to US$ 18,000 for 10% of equity. Half of this money is released upon completion of company formation, tax and vat registration and opening of a company bank account. The other half is released on graduation and approval from the board.

There are three rounds of filtration of applications. After the application submission deadline, the organizers will sort through all the applications based on how well they think the accelerator’s startup will be able to benefit from accelerator resources, their team’s ability to execute, and the strength of the business. Next, Grameenphone will invite teams to pitch in front them, they will have in-person interviews and see if they can sell their story. Final Round will be when the judges select the final five, and here, they will also have in-person pitches and see who has the most potential us the most based on a holistic evaluation.
