Bangladesh-Japan venture company BJIT and Department of Computer Science and Engineering, University of Dhaka is going to organize a day-long hackathon Code Samurai 2019. The venue of the event is the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, University of Dhaka. The registration process has already started, and it will end on October 15. The hackathon will be held on November 1, and the award-giving ceremony will be held on November 2, 2019.
Hackathon, Programming Contests are generally organized to test the programming and problem-solving skills of the students. Students get benefitted by learning new ideas and problem-solving ideas by participated in such kinds of contests. However, in Code Samurai 2019 the problems are a little bit different than ordinary programming contests or hackathons. The student will face industry problems here from where they can learn industry-grade problems and how they are solved. It will add great value to their future careers. Moreover, meeting with new fellow students, scholars from different universities, and leading IT people from Japan and Bangladesh will add a unique experience to the participants.
Guidelines:
- PC and Software Environment: You can use any PC or software. It is strongly recommended to bring your laptop with your preferred software or tools. Desktop PC will also be provided at university lab, but you need to prepare your suitable environment to adjust your approach or skill. It may suppress your working time.
- WiFi: WiFi and internet connection will be provided by the authority.
- Team building: A team must be constructed with 3 members from same University or different Universities. Each member may have different responsibilities to analyze data, build algorithm, and implement it.
- Fees: Participating Code Samurai 2019 is completely free, and no fee will be collected during this hackathon.
