Call for Entrepreneurs for YY Goshti Incubator 2021 Spring Cohort is now open.

They are on the lookout for social businesses who are changing their communities. They are on a mission to recognize and support 10 early-stage social business entrepreneurs who have identified a solution to a social problem.

YY Ventures is a social business company created in partnership with Nobel Laureate Muhammad Yunus to inspire innovation, support social business entrepreneurs and drive change. They envision a World of Three Zeros – Zero Poverty, Zero Unemployment, and Zero Net Carbon Emissions. YY Ventures offers an intense, rapid, and immersive education to accelerate the life cycle of innovative social businesses in Bangladesh and the Central African Republic that are solving pressing social issues of our times.

YY Goshti is a social business company founded in Bangladesh that inspires innovation and social business. They stand for sustainable impact and thereby back entrepreneurial youth who engage in the poverty elimination within their communities.

  • WORLD CLASS TRAINING: YY Goshti creates a space for promising startups to accelerate their business to the next level. The participants can draw guidelines and construct their business idea in the presence of world reputed business trainers. Their boot camp prepares the participants with different aspects of launching a successful business.
  • MENTORING: One of the key benefits that they offer to their incubatees is tailored mentoring. They structure mentoring hours based on the needs of startups and the founders. In partnership with their supporters and network, they bring seasoned professionals and entrepreneurs from around the world to mentor their incubatees.
  • INVESTOR NETWORK: Each cohort they offer pre-seed investment up to BDT 1.5 million and work with dozens of local and international investors and angels. They become partners with their incubates and help them negotiate and raise capital from investors.
  • OFFICE SPACE: They offer coworking space facility for their incubatees. For the first four months they are allowed to work free of charge. Their space comes with high-speed internet, furnished dedicated space and great community events and you get to work with like minded individuals.
  • BUSINESS SERVICE: YY Goshti design team specializes in creating strong brand identity, websites, and marketing collateral. Their partner organizations offer pro-bono legal and accounting support and they get access to new business opportunities with their help.
  • COMMUNITY: Get connected to our thriving community of compassionate, creative, and committed social entrepreneurs who aim to achieve collective progress through collaboration and exchange. Their community promotes a responsible and sustainable corporate culture and offers events, meetings and activities that promote sustainability and entrepreneurship.

Eligibilities

  • The program is best suited to entrepreneurs who have identified a solution to a social problem and are looking forward to startup.
  • Legal status of business: The program has primarily been designed for the needs of social businesses; however, non-profits, for-profits, co-operatives, and community contribution businesses are all eligible as long as they serve the purpose and they incorporate a sustainable revenue model.
  • Stage of ventures: The program is geared towards those at an early stage of development, who have an idea they are willing to invest in. Ideally, applicants have completed some measure of feasibility assessment and can see themselves moving to launch in 4-6 months. Those who have already launched but need support to refine their business plan and scale up operations are also encouraged to apply.
