BYLC Ventures : Cohort 2 for Young Founders 2020

BYLC Ventures would like to help passionate young founders get kick-started with their big ideas. They do this by providing technical support to validate a product or solution and seed funding to go fast to market.

They also provide a set of acceleration support including a plug-and-play commercial space to work from, customized business training led by successful CEO-turned-mentors, and a suite of professional support such as legal, accounting, and corporate governance.

For over a decade, they have taught leadership to more than five thousand of Bangladesh’s most promising young women and men. Having mentored many of them who have gone on to launch their own companies, they have seen firsthand the challenges startups face in their early stages.

They aim to invest, together with local angels and institutional investors, in at least 20 startups every year. Your entry to BYLC Ventures is through the Youth Entrepreneurship Challenge (YEC). Each year they receive hundreds of ideas for evaluation. Based on the applications submitted online they select the top 50-100 teams for an intensive residential boot camp, where they take founders through a product design sprint.

The founders are evaluated both on their skills as well as their commitment and grit. YEC winning teams are then awarded seed funding and invited to join their accelerator program.
