Harvard College in Asia Program (HCAP) is an initiative launched by Harvard University to facilitate scholarly and cultural exchange between Harvard University and prominent academic institutions throughout Asia. Each January, delegations from select partner universities go to Harvard for a conference. Similarly, in March, delegations of Harvard students participate in conferences throughout Asia organised by the partner colleges. St. Xavier’s College, Mumbai is the partner institution from India.
The conferences involve lectures, interactive sessions, panel discussions, and case studies by various luminaries and scholars who have impacted the world. The Mumbai conference at St. Xavier’s College is scheduled to take place on 16th and 17th March 2015 and it aims to facilitate cultural and intellectual exchange by inviting leaders to discuss, debate and deliberate on the Theme of the Conference 2015 – “Technology and our Generation : From the Individual to the World”. Forums at the conference will discuss the impact of technology on media, agriculture, internal law and trade and data privacy.
The conference is open to all students and professionals above the age of 16.
The conference does not require any registration fee.
