On the occasion of the launch of the sixth Arab Human Development Report for 2015 by the United Nations Development Programme, focusing this year on the theme “Youth and Development in the Arab countries – the challenges of the transition period,”

Cost:

The United Nations Development Programme will bear the full travel costs of the participants (including the cost of visa, flight ticket and accommodation).

  • Eligibility:
  • Arab Young persons aged between 19 to 35 years old from Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Egypt, Sudan, Djibouti, Somalia, Jordan, Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Qatar, UAE, Oman and Yemen,
  • Those who have interest in Arab youth issues and have innovative ideas and solutions to address the social challenges facing Arab World,
  • Speak fluently Arabic as the Camp official language,
  • Have passport valid up to six months.

Benefits:

Forum provides an opportunity for Arab youth, both male and female-in the age group 19-35 years, to explore how they can become influential parties in the equation of social change in their countries and in the entire Arab region through their (1) participation in the development process; and (2) creation of innovative and creative solutions to the most important social challenges facing the region, some of which the Arab Human Development Report 2015 talks about such as civil/ political participation; identity and belonging; education; employment/ entrepreneurship; health; conflict/ peace-building; and the participation of women in the public space.
