A winning team will receive $10K grant! Shape Eurasia is a two day meeting that brings together young changemakers from different regions to explore solutions to reshape Eurasia through integration, dialogue, and peacebuilding. It is a time to showcase local and regional projects of Global Shapers (that’s you!) making positive impact and create new ventures! This is the time to act with the likeminded people! Our mission is to bring together Global Shapers from Eurasia to the geographical heart of the continent – Astana city to foster multicultural dialogue, create strong bonds and discuss potential projects for joint implementation. We believe that we all live in a global village and our cultural, religious and ethnic differences should not hamper our cooperation and development. We should respect and appreciate our backgrounds. Therefore, it is important to establish dialogue between Global Shapers, leaders of tomorrow. Astana is located right in the heart of the Eurasian continent, the place, where East meets West. Kazakhstan is known for its effective policies in building and nurturing inter- and multicultural, interfaith dialogue. Nowadays, more than 100 ethnic groups leave peacefully and in accord with each other in Kazakhstan.
We believe that Global Shapers will benefit from learning about the Kazakhstan way, meeting prominent leaders, discussing among each other and networking with the colleagues and peers from all over the continent. Shape Eurasia 2014 is organized by Global Shaper Astana Hub. Astana hub was established in December 2012 by a group of active and enthusiastic young people. Since then, Global Shapers of Astana Hub initiated a number of projects such as Café Scientifique, A Wish Tree, Action Forum, a series of open lectures on personal finance and many others. The Global Shapers Community is a network of hubs developed and led by young people who are exceptional in their potential, their achievements and their drive to make a contribution to their communities. Global Shapers is an Initiative of the World Economic Forum.
The competition is open to all Global Shapers from anywhere in the world.http://www.youthop.com/competitions/shape-eurasia-2014http://www.youthop.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/07/shaper.jpghttp://www.youthop.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/07/shaper-300x300.jpgCompetitions
